(For details on previous versions of Kepler please check the [[History]] page) ##Kepler 1.1 Beta 2 Kepler 1.1 Beta 2 is planned for release on September 2007 with the following Lua 5.1 modules: * LuaBinaries 5.1.2 * LuaSocket * LuaCOM * LuaFileSystem * Rings * Copas * Xavante * CGILua * MD5 * LuaExpat * LuaSQL * LuaLogging * LuaZip Kepler 1.1 uses the first version of a new building and deployment system for Windows, Linux, Mac OS X and Maemo. ## Kepler 1.2 The following features are currently being developed and with a release target within the next 6 to 12 months. You can join the development by following the discussions on the [[Brainstorm]] and [[Projects]] pages, testing the new modules and reporting bugs on the [[Mailing List]]. * An MVC framework ([[Orbit]]) * An Object Relational Mapping system (ORM) * An alternative template engine ([[Safe Template]]) * A new web server abstraction ([[WSAPI]]) with filter such as [[Authenticate]] * The wiki that powers this site ([[Sputnik]]) * A package management system similar to Ruby Gems ([[LuaRocks]]) ## Future Versions A [[Portal Manager]] based on [[Orbit]] would allow the centralization of components on the same page. One of the targets for Kepler are mobile devices.
